Ace!!!
2nd Ace ever... hole 4 at Lamar's revamped course. I hadn't even deuced it yet.
So, on 3's teebox, Fink asked "has any of you had an ace before?" Chris had a couple, Morris has probably 10, and I say "I try to get the good deuce parked below the basket, an ace is really a bad shot, a miss too high." Touting the company line, right? I meant it though.
Then, ONE hole later, I flick a nice shot (with a Discraft 170g Flick, a gift from my buddy Lance) that goes higher than I want, but turns back at just the right moment, and half-way there I say, "That's PERFECT!" thinking that I've parked that hole easy but then BOOM!!
Ace.
It actually would have been a good deuce, too, as it was fading at the right time and came down hard. It wasn't a blow by.
A few days later I met my buddy Aaron and his daughter for a round, and brought my daughter, too. She's awesome, but I took this shot right in the nuts.
